Established in 1959 through state legislation, the Minnesota Local Road Research Board (LRRB) has sponsored more than 150 individual projects on a variety of topics.

Center for Transportation Studies | top

CTS is an independent, interdisciplinary center for transportation-related research, education, and outreach at the University of Minnesota. CTS creates connections between researchers and funding organizations that are interested in transportation issues, and initiates and coordinates interdisciplinary research.

University of Minnesota Department of Civil Engineering | top

The Department of Civil Engineering has outstanding facilities and a vigorous, diverse education and research program. Currently, the CE department includes more than 30 full-time faculty members and 18 research staff. Pavement research is among the most active and significant research areas in the department.
